This instrument is based on a clavichord from the collections at the Museum of Music in Stockholm (archive no: MM 1956/57 26) signed "Phillipp Jacob Specken instrumentmakare in Stockholm 1743". The keyboard is enlarged to a chromatic compass of five octaves after an idea by Hans Erik Svensson, Stockholm. The naturals have ebony toppings and the sharps are bone topped. The instrument has a complete brass strings register.
